Bedford and Forsyth Education Centres (BFEC)

BFEC will be closed for the summer beginning at 3pm on Friday, June 30th until Monday, August 28th. Calls and emails to the main office will be returned during the last week of August. Calls and emails to teaching staff will not be returned until the week of September 5th.

The first day of classes for registered BFEC students is Thursday, September 7th. Students are asked to arrive by 9:30am to pick up their timetables and to pay student fees. To see our new bell schedule click here.

Bedford and Forsyth Education Centres Registration 2017-2018

BFEC is a public high school within the Halifax Regional School Board (HRSB) that supports adult learners as well as high school aged learners. Adult learners (aged 21 and over or aged 19 and over who have been out of school for one year) who do not have a high school diploma can attend free of charge!

If you are an adult learner or a high school aged learner (aged 16 and over) who is interested in returning to school, please complete our online Expression of Interest before coming in to register. Please note, BFEC is not a program. We are a high school.

Registration for September 2017 will take place on August 29th from 11am – 2:30pm, August 30th and August 31st from 9am – 2:30pm. Information required for registration: birth certificate, NS health card, transcript from last high school attended, $20 cash registration fee.

The Girl Talk program is open to all female identified youth aged 13-19 years.
